Hi - Can anyone (new arrivals) tell us how long it is taking to get an iqama after arrival? I know there is an Eid holiday this week but I am wondering how long it was taking new arrivals to get their iqama over the last couple of months> Thanks! PS I am referring to the employee's own iqama, not their family's iqamas, which I know can take a while.

I received my Iqama 7 days after my blood was drawn. I had my blood drawn 3 days after landing. My family is still being processed, mostly because it took awhile to get them scheduled for their blood draw and now it's the holiday.

Thanks for posting this. I wanted to know because as soon as I have my iqama I can arrange for my family to follow to Bahrain and I can meet them there. I was nervous because we are approaching Christmas. I don't want to be without my son at Christmas. Any other recent arrivals - please let me know how long for iqamas> I am not so concerned about my family because I only need to leave the country to meet them in Bahrain for Christmas!

We landed July 15 (few days before Ramadan started). Got my Iqama in just over 2 weeks. Family got theirs 2-3 days later.

One of my colleague's family still not received their IQAMA even after four (4) months. Things can really go slow.

If they didn't get their iqama after four months then then there must have been some problem of a relatively unusual nature. I've never heard of it taking that long and, especially in recent times, 2-6 weeks is fairly standard.

o All,
It has been 3.5 weeks now and I have not got my Iqama yet. There is some sort of confusion..someone should have applied for the work permit but did not.... I don't know. All I know that 95% of my induction group got their iqamas, and some of them even got their multiple visas. Today I am going to fight for my Iqama. You cannot do anything without it.

Which area are you in? I would talk to a Personnel Advisor and have them follow up for you. You should have had it by now

Got it....
It was a classic case of mal coordination. The guy who was supposed to work on the work permit simply did not, and the guy who was supposed to submit the iqama form did to discover later that the application was rejected because the work permit was not issued.
Ahhhh

I got my and my family Iqama at the same time. Isn't amazing. Total time 3 weeks for all. Usually employee got his iqama first followed by family members iqama; however, we got it altogether which make us happy. We already booked flights to visit some special place for which I have joined Aramco.
