Hi; Trust me Guys, I did not expect that I am going to have an offer letter from KSA. When I was interviewed on 1 October 2012, I was told with in 2 weeks that soon I will get my letter as I got through in interview. You can get this information from your recruiter only. They sent me letter after 8 months, can not say specific reason. Some times they do the recruitment in advance or may be other visas problem. However I did not contact with Aramco and I was just enjoying my present job, suddenly I woke up one morning and saw an email from Aramco stating that they have received finally my offer letter. Therefore patience is key, before your excitement hold on you as a over pressure. Just relax and do enjoy your present job. If your destiny is KSA then no one can stop you, does not matter the circumstances. I believe same in my case as its practical experience with me... Thank you Ris

Beaumont, We just sent our letter of acceptance located in DHA. The passports could take a while and most POs require an appt.

@beaumont, PO = Post Office, ~$100/passport. We had to get passports for all kids and wife. Most post offices require an appt for each person to apply for a passport. Also, we had to go out of town to get a post office that accepted walk-ins. We leave in the next week or two for the medical visa at Aramco's office in Houston.

o Everyone,
This forum and specially this "timeline" post(s) has been so helpful to keep our moral up during the wait time after interview. Since after a long wait, I have finally received an offer I thought I should post my timeline to help others.
Position Offered: Engineer I Location: DHA First contact from external recruiter via LinkedIn: 1-Mar-2013 Contact from ASC Houston to set an interview: 1-APR-2013 ASC Houston Interview: 13-APR-2013 Asked for Paystub: 15-APR-2013 Paystub submitted: 16-APR-2013 (long wait after:)) Contact from ASC Houston with "Congratulations": 3-Jul-2013 Additional information submitted: 3-Jul-2013 Email offer received: 9-Jul-2013 FedEx offer package received: 11-Jul-2013
This is my timeline sofa, it has been long frustrated wait but at the end offer is really attractive. I am master of engineer with 18 years experience and they offered me Engineer 1/GC14. It's a straight forward decision for me and I am proceeding with the next step.
Like others I would have several question but initially I have just few:
1. My offer doesn't show the vacation detail but my recruiter on my inquiry told me verbally that detail (36+4+2) = 42 days and 11 to 13 days national holidays. Are these days are working days or weekends are included? I forgot to ask this from recruiter
2. My work/residence location is DHA and I learned in another post that DHA is full. Would I be assigned Rakkah (We are family of 4)
3. Offer advice that I take professional tax counselling for Non -residence Canadian. Does ASC pay for that service.

Weekends are included in the vacation days.
You could be assigned a home in DHA or Rakkah, it will depend on the house that you are eligible for, based on GC and number of children, being available at the time of your arrival. Housing is usually assigned within the week of your arrival.
Both are DHA compounds.
