o, I was wondering if there were any SABB bank machines on the Dhahran compound? I am trying to figure out what I am going to do for local banking and it appears that if I open an account with HSBC here in Canada they will transfer all of my information to SABB once I arrive and I will get one consolidated statement with Canadian and Saudi assets. This seems like a good option but only if there is a way to withdraw funds on the compound. When I look at the SABB website it appears there are two that may be on the compound, they are:
- ATM #305, KFMC Drive Up, Abqaiq Street, Dhahran - ATM #880, ARAMCO, Munierah Mall Center, Dhahran
thank you, -jeff

There is a SABB ATM outside the Al Majamma building in DHA.
The bank in Al Munirah is now the Samba Bank.
There is a Banque Saudi Fransi in Al Midra.
There is NCB bank in Al Majamma and outside the Al Majamma there are also ATM's for Samba, Sarrif, and Saudi Hollandi Bank along side the SABB one.
There is a Riyadh Bank ATM at the golf course.

As far as I know, if you have an ATM card issued by a bank in kingdom, you can use it in any ATM machine here. All the banks here are part of a system called SPAN (stands for Saudi Payments Authorization Network, I think) and recognize each other's cards.
I have used my NCB card in ATM machines from just about every other bank in kingdom and never had a problem. There is also no additional charge for using an ATM from a different bank.
Furthermore, if you have an ATM card from a foreign bank with the Visa or Maestro (Mastercard) logo on it, it will work in the majority of ATM's as well.
So whichever bank you decide to go with, location of their ATM machines is not something I would worry about too much.
