I am getting my offer letter next week but from what I have read on this site about the medical, I am not sure to even accept. I had gastric by pass 15 years ago and a neck fusion about 8 which has fixed my disc and I have no problems or on any mediciation. I just had my gall bladder removed a year ago (due to the gastric bypass, normal occurence) but it seems from what I read that I will probably fail the medical. Can some one tell me more. I don't want to waste my time going through the process if the change of passing the medical is about 5% lol. Thanks!

Sorry, no one can tell you what your chances are for passing the medical. Each case is reviewed on an individual case by whatever doctor is on the review process at the time. The things you list, people have had and come, but no guarantees can be made you'd be approved or not. All anyone can say is go for it! Only you can decide if its worth your time to go through the process.
As you go through the hiring process, you just keep on with your life as it is right now. Nothing changes until everything has gone through approval.

Thanks, I have always pass every physical but by the time you are 44 most of us have had something happen lol. How in depth is the medical background check? How would they know about surguries for 15 years ago? I am just curious on how they would or could find that information.

You will fill out a medical form and eventually have a medical exam.

Hi There, I also had a gallbladder removal surgery a few years ago and am in the process of receiving an offer. I wanted to ask on what happened in your situation? Were you able to pass your medical?
I am also a bit concern about this as well. Has anyone else been in this situation and had passed their medical?
thanks

No one can answer for certain because an Aramco Doctor makes that decision. But I would think gallbladder surgery will not have any impact on your being medically approved.

My wife had her gall bladder removed in 2006 and she passed the medical without any issues, however, like vpainter says: each persons case is different.

If you think you want to not accept the job because of your medical history, then what difference would it make to submit your medical forms and allow an Aramco doctor determine whether or not you would be accepted?
No, you would not be able to not furnish your medical forms. Which you should be truthful on. If you are rejected because of medical reasons it wouldn't be any different than you not accepting the job because of the same reason.
Go for it, you won't know unless you try.

Hi everyone, I am kinda new to this forum, but have read some wonderful comments from you wonderful people.
Now something about me: I gave my VCI in May and was contacted for my salary receipts and a form that needed to be filled in July. Going thru this wonderful forum I came to know that after this comes the stage where aramco prepares the offer and depending on you, you get to either accept, negotiate or decline the offer. If the offer is good and I am to accept it, a medical examination for me and my spouse is next on line.
Here is where the problem is: I got myself and my spouse tested for all of diseases a few months back and I was cleared for all of them, my spouse has a non-reactive dormant hep-B virus (she is a carrier and has chronic hep-B).
WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF HER REJECTION IN GETTING THE VISA (based on my spouses medical problem), coz if she cannot travel with me to KSA, i can most humbly decline the offer. Can anyone help me out on this? Has anyone gone thru something similar to this?

No one can tell you if she would be rejected even if someone else was accepted. Each person is looked at individually and it is up to the Aramco Doctor who reviews your medical records.
More than likely, you will be asked for more information from her doctor. In my humble opinion, this should not cause a rejection. But no way to predict the outcome.
