Has anyone tried or currently uses Zain or STC wireless internet in DH camp? They both claim having good covee in Dhahran but not sure if the signal is strong enough/better than Mobily.

STC usb wireless is horrible in my neck of main camp. Been trying to use it for two weeks and it takes me 10 minutes of retrying and re-re-trying to get into email, etc. Very occasionally I get good reception, like right this instant...but it is a very rare thing thus far. I will be glad when they finally get to me for the ADSL...

During the recent home internet outage, I spoke to Mobily, STC and Zain representatives. All claimed to have 3G signal covee in Dhahran although the Zain people did say that they only have signal covee in main camp, not in the Hills.
Having spoken to various friends and acquaintances, it seems that in all cases, it depends exactly where you live, which room of the house you're in and so on.
The only way to be sure is to take some kind of 3G device into your house and check to see whether it gets a decent signal. In my house, I get a decent Mobily signal but can hardly pick up an STC signal at all. In a friend's house a few doors down the street, the situation is reversed.

Main camp Mobily tower covee is 3G. Some buyers unknowingly bought 4G during the recent outage.
