Hi, we are in the Visa process and I am told it is near to a sure thing now (<1% chance of rejection at this point - but still not holding my breath)...so I am looking for some additional information.
I have a 2010 Custom Dyna Fat Bob and I am contemplating importing it to KSA. I would be importing from France to KSA and if needed, I have the stock pipes to re-install prior to shipping if that is an issue in KSA.
Is any one aware of someone with experience in doing something similar.
Thank you in advance!

Let me be brutally honest. I ride motorcycles. It is very dangerous to drive a car off camp. Riding a motorcycle is a death wish. Plus you can not ride a bike over the causeway to Bahrain. It must be trailered. Several peope ride their big Harley's to and from work in camp. Seems a little silly for a big advice. For what it is worth, my advice is to try to sell the bike before moving unless it would be a big financial hit.

There are quite a few motorcycle riders on camp. Some ride to and from work. There is a Harley group who ride on Thursday mornings. There is an annual motorcycle rally in Dhahran that 500 to 1000 motorcycles participate in from all over KSA and even other countries, like Kuwait.
If you like to ride, bring it. You can ride all over camp, I agree too dangerous off camp, but you can go out into the industrial areas of camp and have a ride. There are a few who take their sport bikes over to Bahrain where there is a track they ride on.

Does anyone have contact info for the Harley Riding group that Vpainter mentioned?

I had a question regarding importing a Harley Davidson motorcycle. I have a 2006 softail Harley. I've heard conflicting statements on whether or not I can import it. The international shipping companies tell me that since it is older than 5 years old (law for vehicles), then I can't import it. However, when I called the Saudi Arabia consulate in Washington D.C., they told me the law does not apply to motorcycles and I can import a motorcycle no matter the age.
Does anyone know the facts here?
