Hi All -
I have a question about a perk I heard of at Aramco. I expect to receive my offer soon.
I've heard that Aramco's corporate aircraft (35+?) are constantly flying around the world and that employees can reserve seats on them in advance for free (for personal travel), as long as there is space available (that isn't being used for business use).
Can someone comment on this process, and if this is true or not?
Thanks! Cohiba 8)

Aramco employees can ride on the Aramco jets, but you can be bumped off for any number of reasons.

All company flights are intended primarily for business travellers. You can book seats for personal use, on a space-available basis but only (as far as I have heard) on intra-kingdom flights. As vpainter mentions, employees travelling on personal trips can be bumped if a business traveller needs the seat.
The vast majority of company's aircraft (fixed and rotary wing) are used inside the kingdom. There is a small fleet of executive jets that are used to take executive management or members of the government (or sometimes, the royal family) on international trips but there are no scheduled international flights and I have never heard of any seats being made available on the executive flights, for the "general population" of company employees.
These executive flights are often scheduled (or indeed, re-scheduled) at very short notice, on both the outward and inbound legs and since employees need prior approval from their organization to travel outside of the kingdom (except for short trips not involving 'L' days, such as evening or weekend trips e.g. to Bahrain), I would think it would be logistically rather tricky for an employee to use a seat on one of these flights even if they were available.
