I'm not exactly an expat, I'm Saudi but from the western provine, more precise from Jeddah. I have just got a job offer as a Senior Engineer for Aramco Dhahran. Sine I have never been to the eastern province before, then I would consider myself an expat.
I'm married but my wife is still doing her bachelor in Ottawa, Canada and for that I'm looking for a roommate for a couple of years max. I lived in Canada for 4 years and really enjoyed the north American culture. I would like to know more about the camp in Dhahran and the school for the kids there, how much does it cost and how good is it?
you can contact me through PM for further arrangements.
I would really appreciate tips for new comers on the first month of employment.
Thanks

You are lucky to be be assigned in Dhahran since Khobar and the Dhahran mall are both stone throw away. I never heard of anybody having a room mate in their living arrangements. Aramco will assign you a house depending on your GC and status. You don't have to share your house with anyone other than your family when they arrive but you would need to upgrade to that if you have a bachelor status initially.
