I have been told by my relocation advisor that I have cleared BI/Med and that my kid has been accepted for school, and that my visa was applied for last week and that I should check back in a couple of weeks to see if has been approved. Once all my contingencies have been cleared, our plan is for my wife and daughter to arrive on a delayed basis up to 90 days after I go. With this background in mind, I have a couple of questions...
1. Is the "couple of weeks" a realistic time estimate based on the fact that it is Ramadan? 2. Once I am notified that my contingencies have all cleared, can anyone give me any idea what the time frame would be on when they would plan my travel dates to be? I've been told for a while that the anticipated travel date would be end of August, but if the contingencies are all cleared by mid August, that doesn't leave a lot of time to be ready to go, especially when they tell you don't sell anything or make financial changes or quit your job, etc. until you have an official written notification that your contingencies have cleared...I have a couple of vehicles to sell and quite a bit of effort to get house ready to lease, etc...and it seems like I'm not going to have a whole lot of time to be ready to roll.
Thoughts?

You can search the timeline discussion groups and see other peoples timelines for getting visa and travel.
If you have cleared all contingencies you can start putting everything in order to leave. Your visa will need to be used within a certain number of days. Check with your relocation agent about how soon you must activate your visa and let them know when you want to leave, then let your relocation agent will make sure your visa will be issued with that timeline in the mix. They will work with you on your leaving date.
Things usually work slowly during Ramadan, but that doesn't mean your visa couldn't be issued during this time.
Biggest thing is to communicate the date you need to leave to your relocation agent, explain the situation if necessary on the time required.

Visa is valid for 90 days. Once stamped in your passport, your processor will discuss with you departure date. They are pretty flexible as long as you are not seen to be delaying unnecessarily.

I am in the visa stage and if possible would like to know the following; 1) What is left in the relocation process after the visa is granted? Does the relocation advisor needs to check on housing status? Any possibilities that housing may be an issue? 2) What is the avee time for the visa process? It has been 25 days and have not gotten any response from Saudi consulate in Houston?

I encoue you to do a search on the forum, you will see lots of new hire timelines and see how the process was completed and the length of time required for each stage.
The timeline for everyone is different as these posts show.
