Friends,
Anyone used these guys before? They have installed a satellite system in DH 4 months ago and since then I have been having problems, mainly no signal. It is all due to poorly installed dish on the roof. I hate to keep paying these guys every time to come and re-adjust the dish. Any thoughts/fixes?
Thanks!

Are these the same guys in Khobar with the red sign and yellow letters right before the under pass on King Abdulaziz Road? I am going to visit them tomorrow to see if I can get an Airtel reciever and Hunter dish for Indian channels like Zee TV and Star TV.

Went there today. They don't have Airtel, but they do have Pehla for Indian channels. It's 145 Riyals/month. If I can't find Airtel tomorrow, I will get Pehla. Will let you know if I find a good installer. My neighbor said he has the phone number of a good installation guy.

Try this website www.expatriates.com/classifieds/khob/forsale/, if you are lucky somebody might be selling out there current setup like Videocon, Airtel, DishTV, Tata Sky and so on so forth... You will have to have someone in india with mobile or an account in bank like ICICI to recharge your DTH account. I dont have one, but my friends do have

Went to a shop in Thuqba area of Khobar and got Pehla satellite. Turns out that Airtel won't work at my house due to trees and obstructions. Airtel setup was 1700 Riyals and then 35 riyals per month. Pehla setup was 1100 Riyals which includes first 6 months and then 144 Riyals per month after that. Working great so far. No DVR though and no HD though. Pehla is supposed to come out with a new reciever in "a few months". Same day installation. The shop is on Makkah Al Mukarramah street. When going from Dhahran Main Camp, take Hwy 613 towards Khobar, when the highway forks near Rashid Mall, stay on the left. Then take the first exit. Then right on Makkah Al Mukarramah. Shop is on right next to Al Nahdi pharmacy. We got the 144 Riyal package: pehlatv.net/Pehla-Getpehla/Subsc ... ffers/Main

I wonder if anyone subscribed to the OSN network... Their channel line is similar to the Canadian one (minus the hockey and CFL & NFL)..and their deals are decent...
Any ideas or advices?

The start of the Formula 1 season is just one month away. Does anyone know which satellite tv channels broadcast the races (with English commentary)?

Ok, I don't get it.. We get some awesome "treats" like "US Bass Fishing" and "Premier League Darts" but no Formula 1 on OSN? Can't be.. :?:

OSN Sports sucks.
The Premier League (English Premiere League) is on Abu Dhabis Sports The Formula 1 (English Commentary) is also on Abu Dhabi Sports - The Arabic Commentary is on Free Over the Air (meaning all satellites should be able to access it) The Champions League is on Al-Jazeera Sports The NFL is on Al-Jazeera Sports though OSn has managed to get some NFL Network broadcast in HD (Not the Playoffs but they do get the Superbowl)
The only good thing is that the initial setup for Al-Jazeera is around 650 for the setup box and 400 a year for the subscription
As for Abu Dhabis, the HD box will set you back SAR1200 (or there abouts) and another 650 (I think) for the annual subscription
OSN charges at minimum 200 bucks (riyals) a month for movies, disney channels etc ...

We got OSN recently.
Not much in terms of sports (plenty of Rugby).
The second highest package is approximately $72 USDollars per month.
