I'll be arriving mid-August with my family from Scotland. We will be staying in Ras Tanura and I've been trying to find the exact date that our kids start school. Anyone help ?

Hi, I would like to have someone who could answer my settling in questions. We moved into Dhahran main camp 4 weeks ago. Sort of finding our feet, but it is a slow process without a mentor.

There is a welcome coffee (they have info on things available around the camp) coming up for newbies with the Women's Group, their number is on the phone list that was in your home on arrival. They also have coffee mornings every Monday 9am - 11 am, childcare room on premises.

Has your relo share with you on where you are likely to be housed? I am also a single stat arriving between mid to late Nov. My relo says DT is the likely housing assignment but from the info gather on the forum there is no 1 bed apartment in DT. So not sure how DT fits into the pix.

Hi, moving to Dhahran in about two months and looking forward to seeing what its like and meeting some new faces. Are there any things that are recommended to sort out prior to arrival? The house, car and utilities should be good to go, but we'll have to find an internet provider. Cheers.

Your house will be equipped with the company's contracted STC internet service. The type depends on your location within the camp. Also you can get wireless routers on your own from STC or Mobily - both have offices on camp.
