o all,
I am currently in the last stages of the pre-departure process (i.e. visa medical, etc) and had a question about driver's licenses: I left my home country about a decade ago and I am currently living in the UAE. I have a valid UAE driver's license, but unfortunately misplaced the driver's license from my home country (and they won't give me a new copy until I become a resident again).
Can anyone confirm whether it will be possible for me to change my UAE driver's license (as opposed to my home country's) for a Saudi one?
I've been trying to contact embassies here and there to clarify the issue, but it's like they don't pick-up the phone or reply to e-mails... so thanks for your help!

more than likely you can change it over. If not, just means you attend driving school and receive your license.

Thank you vpainter for your reply.
I cannot see why my valid UAE license would not be accepted, but I also know that I do not make the rules, so I was hoping I could get a confirmation from someone who had a similar experience (or a 2nd hand account).
I will see when I get there, I guess (most probably in late October).
