I recently received an offer to come work in Dhahran -- very exciting! I'm in the process of doing a comparison of my current salary with my potential salary.
We'll probably like to keep our two-year-old son in daycare for part time, so my wife can work or have some time off (depending on how her employment situation works out). What is the range of cost of daycare in DH?

There are no actual daycare facillities here. There are ladies who have preschools in their homes on certain days and certain hours. There will be a list of these in Community Services after you arrive. Many people with children hire maids, live in or those who come in each day or the number of days you want. You can apply to sponsor your own maid after you arrive, she would be a live in.
I hope someone else can help you with cost.

We are rolling along in the contingency process now with our BI/Med under way and our orientation with visa physical scheduled. We will be moving to RT with our twin, 8 month old daughters, hopefully at the end of September. We would greatly appreciate any information on daycare/childcare options/costs available to us.
We anticipate needing childcare relatively soon after arriving so we can make some runs to Ikea and such.
We are beyond excited for this adventure!

Nola, were you able to get any responses for this? We'll also be in need of preschool or daycare for our two year old (arrival date not confirmed yet but expected in about three months); does anyone have any further info to ease our anxiety?
