Hi there
Has anyone tried XBMC on Apple or Android TV? Does it work without VPN by any chance?

We also use www.strongvpn.com. For awesome routers that work extremely well with StrongVpn, check out Sabai Technology. They even ship direct to KSA by FedEx.

Hola everyone. Reviving this thread to see if there is any up to date VPN info. Any advice for people coming over on what VPN to choose? Hopefully with everyone over there using VPNs the connection speeds in the camp aren't too slow.

Pay the $10/month or $100/year and get ExpressVPN: works like a charm across multiple devices. Also, WhatsApp voice now works without a VPN; it's been unblocked here, however, it could change back again.

OK thanks Starboy. Would you recommend buying a VPN router and bringing it with you or just waiting until you get in country? I'll be plugging in multiple devices so would want the ease of setting up just the router to the VPN and connecting to the one device. Thanks for your help.

You're not supposed to import or bring electronic communications devices, especially routers. All luggage is xrayed upon arrival. On first entry, you'll be escorted with an Aramco rep. Buy a router locally.
