I'm curious what Dhahran Camp folks' experiences have been with Ooma, MagicJack, and Vonage for long-distance calling to the United States - and also whether one is significantly better than the others ?
On the other hand, maybe they all perform equally well ?
Thanks,
Argonaut

I use Vonage - mostly to call the UK but I have occasionally called the US. I have never had any problems with it, I find the quality is very good.

We use Vonage as well, but friends have Magic Jack. Both work very well.

We use Vonage over our fiber optic line. Works flawlessly. We got the multi-phone system and activated it in the US before leaving, and got a phone number that looks like our home town. I studied differences between MJ and Vonage, and determined that, despite the monthly charge (really affordable, anyway), Vonage seemed to be the better option for us. I like that the vm gets sent to our email, too. The three phones in the house are just right, and no computer needs to be left on.
