If it gets much hotter the indian workers outside will die of heat exhaustion....as it is its hotter than an Australian summer. The air con doesnt stop 24/7. i went for a walk this morning and only lasted about 25 min because at 6am its too hot!!!!! From 12-5 its inside tiime and at 5pm its still way hot!
hot cold cold hot hot cold very easy to catch a cold
No, not exactly, although if it occurs at higher aludes (in clouds, for instance) it creates the possibility of rain. The following info is collated from the HowStuffWorks and Wikipedia websites:
A reading of 100% relative humidity means that the air is totally saturated with water vapor and cannot hold any more [...] When relative humidity approaches 100%, condensation can occur on surfaces.
Humans are very sensitive to humidity, as the skin relies on the air to get rid of moisture. The process of sweating is your body's attempt to keep cool and maintain its current temperature. If the air is at 100% relative humidity, sweat will not evaporate into the air.
For example, if the air temperature is 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 degrees Celsius) and the relative humidity is 0%, the air temperature feels like 69 degrees Fahrenheit (21 C) to our bodies. If the air temperature is 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 C) and the relative humidity is 100%, we feel like it's 80 degrees (27 C) out.
Well the last 4 or 5 days have been hot but in the late afternoon/early evening its pretty darn nice.......water temp is great.....I go for a swim every evening. Its lovely to wind down after work with a walk along the beach and a swim.....home for a budwiser (NA) and some dinner and a movie.......generally in bed by 9.30 as a 5.30am wake up call makes for a long day. Im slowly getting used to it. Now I just have to get used to the work side of things.
I have recently accepted a job at Ras Tanura. Would someone please let me know a little bit about the single housing (a photo maybe)? Also, do the house/apartments have closets or do you need wardrobes? I'm trying to decide if I need to ship my wardbrobes or leave them behind.
soverydeb wrote oh, yes...welcome to summer on RT. This is it until the end of October---though in August the humidity will comtinue to ramp up, as will the heat. Joy.
Well, here we go. Humidity reading in RT was 92% relative humidity at 6 am today - according to the company's weather monitoring website wassf.net. And we're still in July. August usually has higher relative humidity levels than July so I guess there's a good chance it will hit 100% at some point this summer.
