Hi,
I am a female US teacher licensed in ESL from Massachusetts, holder of a Master in Education and over 10 years of ESL teaching experience. I have experience in blended learning, curriculum design and all L2 teaching methodologies. I also have overseas experience, working and teaching Saudi and Kuwaiti nationals. I am a computer guru, with background in computer programming and web design as well. I am only 40 years only, truly enthusiastic and dedicated.
Currently I am living in Saudi Arabia ( have Iqama through my husband) and would love to join Aramco ITC. I believe I am highly qualified but am afraid that I don't know how to get my resume across.
Should I visit the Dhahran campus and talk to the program director...would that be o.k....? I tried to send my resume to several recruiting companies...but found one of them replying to my resume, saying it is quite an excellent one, but missing a CELTA....should I have one...doesn't my ESL license from the Massachusetts Department of Education is as valuable as the CELTA...please help ...and if I register for the CELTA course in June...wouldn't the job be gone by then...I assume it was posted back in Feb...Female ITC English Teacher....
Would anyone help me figure out what to do or who should I talk to...please
Thank you very much

Interesting that you say the job was posted as for a female ITC teacher. It is my understanding that it is all men at the Industrial Training Center in Dhahran, both teachers and students. However, there is the College Preparatory Center for men, but I believe they have a program there for women, as well. If you see a job posted, you'd need to apply for it by the usual online means, but perhaps a call to the HR department after you do so might clarify the process for you, since you're already in Kingdom.

Thank you very much Hadia for your input , below is the job description that I applied for, and as you can see they mentioned EFL female teacher on a technical level, in Bold, so I thought that the job is at the ITC, I might be wrong then....but what is the HR number...or should I go to the HR building and just introduce myself...but would it be o.k to enter Aramco premises just like that....I understand that you need to know someone inside so they would let you in...I have a friend who lives there...do I have to reference her at the gate :?: ...and would you please tell me where exactly is the HR building or what is their phone number.. .and let me explain why Aramco is my dream...it is not the money I am after...but we lived in Saudi before..and we had to move back home with the kids when my husband's contract ended (3 years)..something that was not easy at all.....so now since we've been back...I have my worries about my husband job and am afraid that ...the day will come and we will have to leave AGAIN...I have a girl in grade 7 now and she is making friends ..just to loose them within a year or two...and I know how hard this can be for her...so Aramco..simply offers stability.....at least for me and for my girls.. Thanks Hadia Job location: Al Khobar - Saudi Arabia Job category: ESL/EFL/English Visa type: Employment, Family Job description and requirements Urgent Saudi Aramco - EFL Positions. We are now starting our recruitment drive for the Aramco projects starting in May. We must fill at least 120 EFL positions and a few more technical positions teaching EFL on a technical level to white collar staff.

Is that an Aramco job description, or a posting through a contractor? Where does it specify female? I don't recommend that you just drop in at the Aramco HR office in Dhahran, and no, you can't just drive up and get access. You would have to be sponsored by someone inside to get through security, and also have an appointment with a specific contact in HR, not just a drop-in.
What you could do is ask your friend to do some research for you and find a phone number or email, perhaps, for follow-up after you apply online. But I'm wondering if that's even an Aramco direct hire job posting. Doesn't look like it to me, but I may be wrong. If it's not a direct hire job, you may likely be advised by HR that you have to deal with the contractor - that's why they have them.
Other Aramcons, please feel free to jump in here. I think I've provided as much input as I know.
