Desperately trying to find a good Cycle Shop in Al Khobar
by Carolina » Thu Nov 25, 2010 9:34 am
o
Can anyone else advise please the following:
We went to Al Khobar to hopefully purchase a ladies cycle for myself - I don't need a fancy mountain bike as living here on RT we have no hills at all but want a good ladies cycle.
We were advised to go to the shop Wheels - well oh dear to that - all that was available were 3 ladies cycles - however looking at them I would have said the colour and style were more suited to that of a young teenager than for someone like myself who is in her mid 50's - also I am 5 ft 2 inch tall so the other bike I saw and did like was far too big for me - can anyone out there advise where else we could try - we did try a few sport shops but most of them sold cycles for men and us ladies have obviously been forgotten about.
I wish I had bought in the UK and had it shipped over here - I am finding this a right hassle that is for sure - just looking for a nice looking good quality ladies cycle - I look at the Aramco classified every day but so far have not found any ladies cycles recently for sale - if there is anyone out there that may be selling theirs please do let me know my e-mail : carolinecollen@yahoo.co.uk
My husband wants to buy a cycle for my Christmas so if any of you can advise where else we could look for in Al Khobar, Dammam or anywhere else we would be most grateful.
Wishing you all a good weekend
Regards

2 big internet bike shops both deliver here. Wiggle and chain reaction.
Make sure you enter a saudi address before you use the sites as it adjusts the prices by removing the VAT.
Cost wise the VAT saved offsets or pays for the extra delivery cost.
Several other people have bought and had bikes and stuff from them delivered here.

Also, if you are ever in Dhahran, then there is a bike shop right outside the main Aramco gate, its the first gas station outside the main gate and in a strip mall there is a bike shop, he is mostly repairing bikes, but also sells slightly used ones.
