I updated my timeline as well in the first post. Something interesting I found out is that after submitting all of my background/medical forms my relocation advisor told me my "ETA" is end of June. That's one month later than what was stated on my offer letter. This is even after I filled out all forms and returned them within a few days without delay. I guess the only guarantee is that "there is no guarantee"

In case anyone is wondering if the process is still rolling for those of us that had Feb interviews, the answer is yes. I have updated my original post several times. Others have also. Just finished a pile of paperwork, next stop is Houston for my medical.

Thanks to everyone who has been up......... their posts (specially mapleleaf, Speedy53, Key West, newpath2012, texas108, Overland, avi8er, Arkansas5).
I have had to be very proactive, as well, calling/emailing and checking on my status atleast 2 times per week.
The newest update is that there is a housing shortage in Dhahran and departure dates may be pushed back (or possibly be assigned to a near by camp/compound and move you to Dhahran main camp over the next few months as houses free up). The "2 week" visa process is taking 3 to 4 weeks. From previous topics on this forum by other members, it appears that they don't issue the visa until you have a house assigned. Anyone have more info on visas and Dhahran housing situation?

My original date to leave was June 14, but due to housing not being available my relocation adviser did move my date back to July 5. I did get worried about the housing sitution, but she has assured me that a house has been secured for me in DHA and the Saudi Consulate did stamp my passport this week.

From what I hear from those who know on the ground in DHA:
Yes, there is a current DHA housing shortage. Some may be temporarily placed in RTA...maybe even ABQ. However, there are a number of departures scheduled from DHA shortly that should free up some housing. This current wave of new hires may be intended to replace outgoing staff. In the next few years there will likely be some new construction of housing. Put yourself on the relocation list and you may benefit from that influx in a couple of years.

Found out today that departure is being pushed back 2 weeks. Submitted passports for visa on May 18. Was supposed to depart end of June, now it seems like mid-July. This is for Houston to Dhahran. Atleast they were nice enough to call me and ask if it's ok to delay it

May be this is part of reason that 4 weeks have gone by after submission of paystubs and no offer is being made as of yet? I called the ASC office today and they told me that there is no response from SA about job offering.....I know patience is a virtue. :?
