My iqama expires 15 June 2012. I was told that I can initiate iqama renewal three month before. Can anyone comment what would be an expiration date of the renewed iqama? Say I renew it 15 March. Would it be one year for expiration of the current one 15 June or one year from the renewal data 15 March?
Thanks

When you renew your iqama, it is valid for one year from the original expiry date, not from the date it was renewed.
I just renewed my family's iqamas, which were not due to expire till April 23. According to the system the renewal date and expiry date are:

If fact the 1 year validity is a new thing brought in by the government, mine was issued 2/14/2011 and expires 4/13/2013, this also backs up what "sunnyday" says it runs from the date of the original expiry not from when it was renewed.
