I am Canadian and working in USA with TN visa. I am expecting an offer. For the visa processing period, can I do it within USA or I have to be in Canada during the visa processing. - Lasam

Was same for me (H1B though). Can do it all from the US. Background check may be a little longer. Couple of notes - your point of origin will be Canada and you will need a Canadian bank account (no way around it - I tried). PM me if you need any more information.

The visa process form the US is similar to Canada. They can send the visa to the Saudi Embassy in the US or in Canada; the US Embassy can be faster. I had been in the US for several years on a TN with no ties to Canada and when I got here, there were no issue with banking; while they would not put me on the US payroll or direct deposit to a US account, it works well when it is deposited to a local bank here (I found NCB to be quite good - they transfer fees are low). From there you can transfer most anywhere at a reasonable cost.
It is important to STAY where your are currently employed until you have your visa. THEN you can resign. If anything is slow or goes awry you may end up an odd position if you do not do this. ASC can provide the necessary information on this.

Hi, I am in a similar position, Canadian family in Paris, France. I have been to KSA a few times and have had the visa issued from within France. However this was only a business - single entry visa. I am hopefull that I can have the visa for employment processed from Paris. Any inside info would be appreciated.
Cheers

I will just share my experience. I am a Canadian, was already working in Middle East, I did everything medical, notarization etc in ME, Houston just sent my visa to be processed to Ottawa and believe it or not, it got processed in "01" day although staff in Houston took ages to send it back to me because they would like to do batch and you are not that special.
