Thanks to all who contribute to this Forum.
Since there is service for washer and dryer at 220 volts in compound housing, is it wise to wait and purchase your washer and dryer in kingdom? Are larger US sized washing machines available there with a variety to select from?
Thanks again, -Brad

o the answer is yes but if I ever need another large washing machine and dryer I would purchase from Bahrain - some houses still have mixed 110 and 220 volts as many Aramcons advise best to take over your appliances.

Sorry I just re-read your question and the variety here is very poor in the KSA but certainly better in Bahrain.

There is an LG store in Khobar that sells very good quality top loaders, it's not all bad in the Kingdom!

Oops I completely forgot about the LG Store in Khobar however if you have really good appliances and can take them to KSA then that will save you time and money having to shop at the very beginning when you are trying to settle in is hard in between prayer time and after work or at weekends.
Good luck Carolina

110/120V for washer, 220V for dryer. If you need both 220V, you'll need to call maintenance and have them install a second plug.
