Sun Set Beach

OK - Sunset Beach. It's on the beach near the causeway to Bahrain. As far as recommending it, it really depends what you want! There is a 'water park', with a couple of slides a huge pool, playarea, beach and lazy river. Great for kids - toddler up to teens. They have 'expat day' on Fridays when you can wear bikinis. It is clean, spacious, with a fast food restaurant - like a 3-4* resort. Lots of people on smaller compounds use it to hang out and socialise on Fridays.
The spa is FANTASTIC. Great pools (indoor and outdoor), calm atmosphere, steam room, sauna and treatments.
It is a BIG complex with other facilities, including paint balling, available.
I would say that if you on Dhahran, or another big compound, you probably won't use it that much. Having discovered it last year (and having 2 teens) we went twice. We had a good time but it doesn't seem worth the trip for Dhahran when we have comparable facilities for free within 10 minutes walk. But nice for a treat and you really do feel like you are on holiday while you are there.
As I say - depends what you want!
