Folks,
The offer letter says I need to be in Saudi on or before Feb 2012 however due to the holidays, the paperwork was a bit slow. In fact, last week I mailed all paperwork regarding Medical, BI, Visa forms, kids school paperwork, etc. I have not done the medical nor the BI was conducted.
I read some posts where some folks had 8 weeks in their offer as a target for them to be in Saudi, same in my case, but the 8 weeks turned into to 16 weeks (4 months) instead. From your experience, is this the norm?
I am in no rush but would like to know what to expect. I figured, those who made it to Saudi had the same concern or curiosity about the move time-line. By the way, my relocation adviser says "will get you there as soon as possible."
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

What you are experiencing appears to be the norm. My on or before October turned into the following January

David and Nita,
If your offer said on or before October the you've must gotten the offer in September. If you finally arrived in January (following year) then we are talking about 5 months time-line, give or take. Wow!
Thanks!

o
Everyone is different and as VPainter has written many times the golden word is PATIENCE sorry but all of us have to learn this and also as VPainter has stated some are hired quickly depending on the requirements of Aramco and others such as my husband took almost one year for the whole hiring process.
Good luck Carolina

bdboggan,
Thanks for your input. 3 months isn't bad at all. I could use more time since there is so much preparation to do before relocation. Thanks!
