Hi,

I expect to be joining aramco soon. I am a golfer and I hope to play with my sons frequently in Dhahran. Can anyone tell me how much it costs to play golf? Is there a membership fee and are there any issues with getting a tee time on a weekend? Are there costs for using the driving range and are there any lessons or golf camps for juniors?

Also, I keep hearing about boating activities and a beach. Can someone describe the weekend activities that they enjoy? Besides sailing, are there any good local fishing trips?

To play unlimited golf it costs $1200 per year for an adult and $600 per year for Junior. This fee is paid by salary deduction and it can paid over 3 months. There is also a membership fee to join the golf club which is paid by cash so if you want to take part in compeions or social events you would have to join the golf club. The membership fee is $250 for family membership. You can also pay as you go - not quite sure exactly what the green fees are but around $50 for 18 holes.
