Offshore Account

Hi, I know I may be leaving this a little too late but I am due to fly at the end of the month and I am rather confused about Offshore Accounts. Is it best to wait until I am over in Saudi to open an offshore account as they ask for quite large amounts of money to open the account. I will be getting paid in Sterling, will Aramco be able to split that between my UK bank and a Saudi account that I plan to open? Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.
