Hi, I am a single female applying with the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture. My questions are in regard to shipping furnishings and my pet. Some years back, my neighbors in Austin joined Aramco as teachers. They were allowed to ship some furnishings and brought the basics and their piano from the states. They were a couple and were allotted nice housing. Do you know if Aramco has a shipping allowance? Is there a weight limit per person? Or primarily a space limit for singles? I'll fly from Baton Rouge, but my cat is with friends in Al Ain. Can pets arrive from UAE by car with the health certificates, government permits, etc? Or must they arrive air cargo :?: Thanks in advance , Sherri

I don't know if the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture is part of Aramco. Aramco benefits with shipments do not apply to all companies inside KSA.
Yes, there is a certain allotment of lbs per person for shipping personal/household items.
If you have all your paperwork in order, you should be able to come in at any entry point through customs.

vpainter, KACWC is indeed part of Aramco. Their jobs are listed on the Aramco Jobs website www.aramco.jobs/kac/ and on the Center's own jobs page, it has a section called "Why Work for Aramco" ithra.jobsataramco.eu/

Dear VPainter and GroveWanderer, Thanks for the helpful information. I'm flying to ASC Houston next week and will try to get an idea of the official timeline. The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture has developed a very rich web presence. I've seen substantial progress over the last three months. It is undoubtedly a work in progress, but much of the back end collection development and programming has begun. Considerable curriculum development, community outreach and program development are required before school groups and community visitors walk through the door. My concern over the timing is related to shipping my four footed feline child from Al Ain. Her foster family is repatriating at the end of May. She's good company and we have a history! Thanks again for your help. Sherri
