Does anyone know if the houses in DH come with an under sink garbage disposal and gae door openers?

o I can only speak for RT but we all have an under sink garbage disposal unit and I would hazard a guess that Dharhan compound do as well but I am sure someone will verify this that lives in Dharhan.
With reference to a gae electronic opener - the answer is NO - you will have to install one - we have recently bought one on the Aramco Classifieds and have had it installed - but if you do buy 2nd do make sure of course that it is in full working order.

We're in the Dhahran camp. Yes to garbage disposal (works great). No to electric gae door opener. Definitely should be on one's shopping list at some point. The door works fine, but it's a pain to keep dealing with it manually, and it's not the safest thing for smaller kids to be lifting it to get bikes in and out. Once it gets moving on the track, the momentum and weight of it can get away from a child. Watch toes.

We brought a gae door opener. We got the cheap $80 model from Lowes and brought it back on one of the trips. It works great and makes the gae use able especially with kids. I would recommend bring one with you. We are in Dhahran and they do have garbage disposals.

how can a single person wash his clothes? do they provide a washer (or u buy a washer) or there is public washers in the basement for the whole building residents?

Each unit should have a washing machine. If you're in those dorm type rooms, then there should be a central washing machine/dryer area as well.

There's also a laundry/drycleaners inside camp (DHA), and 3 with offices on camp, but they take your clothes off camp to launder and dry clean.
