o all, I am in the visa proccessing stage. My relocation advisor said he applied for my visa since Oct 10. It has been more than 3 weeks and we have still not heard from the embassy. Is anyone here in the same boat? What could be the possible cause? I am getting very little info from ASC. Thanks for your answers

Your time line is a normal one. Patience is the key. The Saudi Embassy has been dealing with mourning for the Crown Prince who died, then they've had the appointment of a new Crown Prince and all those events, and now they are entering the Eid Holiday.
Sorry it's hard to wait, but it will be taken care of.

Visa process - I am glad you posted your wait time. I am in a similar situation to you but my passport was only submitted approx 2 weeks ago so I am hoping you get your back soon and I hope the same for me.

Ok further update is this. I was getting anxious so I decided to visit the consulate which is 5 mins from where I am. Got nothing from them - no info at all. The only thing of interest that I noted is the notification on the front door saying they are closed from Nov 7 to Nov 14 on account of Eid. So if we don't get anything tomorrow - which I doubt we will given tomorrow is Friday the earliest we can expect to have the visa back is Nov 16/17 approximately.

Thanks for posting this information, I have signed my offer and though the process has been a long one, I overlooked get all or passports in order.
Luckily, expediting worked out to 10 days door to door...now onto the visa, medical, etc., and waiting for relocation to contact us.
cheers!

Hi All,
Greetings!
Mine is different:
Interview: June 1st, Offer: August 1st, BI: November 1st, No Medical yet, No Visa Application yet,
Could you please comment, is this normal to have the BI before the Medical?
Your help is highly appreciated,
Thanks and Regards,

The New, yes your process is normal. No need to do the medical if you don't pass the BI.
hakim, Congratulations and Welcome to Aramco!

the_new - your process is normal. Just keep following up with your relo advisor. BI in my mind is the biggest hurdle to getting in. If that's done you are 75% of the way there..

Based on my reading and knowledge of ARAMCO hiring (my wife grew up in Dhahran), it seems the process varies. I know someone hired at the Center who was hired on quickly. I have only lived in one country so hopefully that will expedite everything; that, and my offer stated I should expect to be in Kingdom by Dec. 2011.
I'm not sure if every offer attempts to get folks there by Jan. 1 as a default due to the repat...interested to hear if others' offers contained similar language and/or a date...
As you can imagine, I'm somewhat doubtful we will be in the Kingdom by the new year given that we haven't even heard from relocation yet. More patience  I interviewed once a year and a half ago, and only recently interviewed again (and accepted offer)...this has been a LONG haul. Needless to say, we are very excited to move...but prepared to continue waiting.

Also please do not be surprised if you get another 7-8 weeks delayed due to housing not available. I had my visa on Oct 6 and housing end of Nov.
