Hey guys. I am very interested in getting certified to scuba dive. I have emailed a couple of the board members in the Dhahran Dive Club about information but have not received any replies. Does anyone have any information on who to contact or the best place to go to get certified. I am looking for starting with the basic recreational dive certification so I will be able to scuba here as well as other places worlwide and then maybe advance with other cerifications. Any help would be great. I have seen where paople say "PM for personal info" but I do not know what they are talking about so if you don't want to post personal information you can email me at medic10965@yahoo.com. FYI: The PM system is a way to send a private message to a user of the forum. You click on the users name and the window will open where you can send the user a PM or an email if they've supplied their email address.

We live here in RT so hopefully you can come and dive here.

I certainly don't mean to scare anyone, but I've seen a few creatures in the water lately which I choose not to make any closer aquaintances with.
Carolina, your husband is a diver? I should really like some information about safety precautions to be taken against "encounters". There seems to be very little experience in this field, and I've tried to find people with knowledge about diving and marine life in the Gulf.
It is too bad, because only snorkeling at the RT beach reveals a massive marine life, even very close inshore. But even the lifeguards doesn't know much about marine life here.
If your husband is available for a chat, I would be delighted.

Since my husband returned to work sorry but has not e-mailed about diving here but no problem at all I have sent you both a PM with our full contacts details so once you receive it feel free to call us any evening - incidentally our neighbour who has been teaching diving for several years she is an excellent source of information about marine life here on RT however she is in Thailand at present as she is moving there soon so on her return I will ask her if you both can call her as well she is a very interesting person with tons of experience and knowledge.
