o
We have a friend who is joining Aramco and arriving this week in advance of his family from Australia - should he bring his family's passports for the Saudi visa process or are they not required until they arrive to the Kingdom and should he bring passport photographs of his family again for the Saudi visa process.
Thank you
Kind Regards Carolina

My husband came in advance of us. He brought copies of our passports but not our actual passports. I would not recommend taking the family passports away from the family. ASC will deal with the visas.

I don't know what the rules are on passports for Australia, but U.S. actually have rules about anyone carrying the passport of another person.
Aramco knows you will only have a copy of their passport. Even though the visas are applied for in KSA, they are also applied for in Australia and the visa will be put in the passport in the home country, just like yours has been.

o Vpainter
Thank you for this clarification truly appreciate it as I was unsure what this family had been advised to do in Australia.
The world is such a small place we were with them in Gabon, then Ecuador, then Qatar and now they are coming here!

Actually the visas are always approved in saudi and sent for stamping at the embassies, who carry out the duties of mofa. So passports must be presented at an embassy, usually country of origin, in order for someone to get the visa inserted in the passport.
Pretty much the same for most countries.
