I have arrived to Ras Tanura at the end of August. I have 1 year old baby who loves to 'swim' so we often visit RT swimming pools. I have brought with me some swim diapers however they are about to run out. It would be great if someone can tell me where I can buy them.

We've seen diapers through size 5-6 all over, but we havent seen swim diapers yet. There is a baby store in Rahima and a Babys R Us in Khobar, but we havent actively looked for swim diapers since we brought a ton with us. If I see any ill let you know.

Checked Panda and the Farm (2 local supermarkets in Rahima), tons of diapers but no swim diapers. We'll probably get out again in the next few days and check other stores while out shopping.

Try Mothercare in Dhahran Mall for swimming nappies - they used to stock the disposable and the washable varieties.

Thank you everyone. I'll check at Mothercare this weekend and if they're not there I'll continue my search next week in Bahrain. I'll let you know once I find them.

I was told today that Lulus usually carries them, but only in a limited amount. The mom I spoke with said thats where she buys hers, but last time she was there they said they were out.

Swim diapers are one of those items that when you see them...buy them all. I have seen them at Lulu's twice. I have seen them many times in Bahrain at Carrefour but not at Carrefour here and then my latest buy was when we were in Abu Dhabi at Lulu's there. Good luck!

For those looking for swim diapers,
We found both the Al Osdary market (Spelling? the grocery store in Budayah) and the Geant in the Mall of Bahrain have swim diapers (as of 10/7/2012). They only have one size though, about 16-26lbs. We also tried Carefour and LuLus, but no luck.

Not sure if swim diapers are still in hot demand since this thread started a few weeks ago....But if it were me, I'd take the easy way out and just mail order a supply to last until next repat. That's what I do for anything specific I can't find in the stores. My husband isn't big on driving from store to store, dodging prayer time, looking for one specific thing that may or may not exist there. Weekends are too short! I'll keep an eye out in the stores though, and if I encounter any swim diapers, I'll post here.
