We recently went with our driver (who has local knowledge and is great when we need a translator) on a quest around Dammam and Khobar, searching for track lighting and LED bulbs. There were some great ones at Ikea BUT they only worked for 220V. Fortunately the local lighting shops can accommodate 110V.
After marching through a variety of shops that mostly had lots of ornate chandeliers, we found the best shop for what we were looking for to be Zakwan Arabian Trading Est., King Faisal Street, Cross 2/3, Al Khobar. Phone is 03 894 8128. I was very pleased with the pricing. There are many other lighting shops in the area.

The lighting souqs in Khobar and Dammam are both excellent. Majestic taxis can take you to either one.
