HI,
Does anyone know if Aramco provides safety shoes or if I should purchase a pair from home and bring with?
Cheers, Michael

I asked my supervisor and he said all PPE is supplied, the department clerk orders it.

Aramco does provide all required PPE. However, you may not get it as quickly or easily as you would like depending on stock levels or your department.

I needed size 48 safetyshoes, and had my wife bring them. So if you need something special, you'd rather bring them yourself. Just bring a receipt: they might reimburse you.

I brought 2 pairs of good, high quality safety boots and thank I did. The shoes they give you look like dress shoes, they have hard soles that slip, and they are in no way a design or type to work outside.
Recommendation: Bring a couple pair
In 2 1/2 years I got (3) sets of nomex. (1) had a plastic zipper and lasted about 3 months. (1) pair the sleeve snaps failed after about 6 months and I wore them with the sleeves stapled together. The zipper on that pair finally failed after about a year. I just got a 4th pair last week. It is like nomex is some sort of rare commodity LOL.
The hard hats have the cheap inserts, not the ones with the knob that tightens in the back but the ones with the adjustment that slips into place with the two little plastic tabs. That has to be stapled in place as well after a few weeks. It is the same style of cheap hats we used to keep out at the front gate for visitors.
Luckily, I just happened to bring a good hat, 3 pairs of (texas) nomex that amazingly are still holding together, and boots. Otherwise, there is no good quality PPE here to be had and it may take weeks to get some.
Thats my experience.
