I have searched the forums and trying to piece together a situation.
Ok, Family of 4 from US. Wife would be working for Aramco. Father would be stay home dad with 2 kids.
It would be for the Dhahran Compound, I have read that women can't get family status. Would that stop us from getting into family housing on the compound?
Has there been any family gone through the same situation?
Am I just reading too much into this?

o Fants123 & welcome to the Expats Forum:
Women as the primary employee do not normally get family status with Saudi Aramco, even if they're married. That would mean unless you have a job with an employer and you're on family status here, it would be a challenge for you and your kids to move here. She would likely be given very small accommodations (depending on her grade code and position...unless she's GC15+) and I seriously doubt you could even get Housing approval for all of you to stay with her on a visit, since single housing would not be big enough to accomodate 2 adults and 2 children. Like we've said before, there can be exceptions to many rules but I don't know of any women who are the primary employee working for Saudi Aramco with family status...not a one. I wish you the best of luck with this situation.
