HI Louise,
Although your post is now rather old, I have recently had a phone call and an email inviting me for an interview next month (same lady in London office I think) and I just wondered how the process was for you in the end.
I am confused because my email invite to interview asked me to respond quickly, which I did, but I have heard nothing more. I don't want to chase them so I haven't - seems like this is pretty normal from what I've read anyway.
Email mentioned a typing test (my application was not for medical sec) and hinted that the test was e-test but I haven't had anything further. I'd prefer to do it first and in my own time/place but if they want to do it interview that's fine too. What happened with you in the end?
How was the interview experience?
If you have a job now, how has it been for you? I had previously worked for very large UK and US city law firms so had a high salary, but last two years, since I left London, have halved my salary to work locally. Don't really want any potential job offer based on that salary - do you know how much room there is for maneouvre?
So many questions for which I apologise. Feel free to ignore. A personal perspective (good or bad) is always useful and if you can be bothered to answer, thanks in advance.

Hi All
Here I am again a year later going through the application process! I was invited for interview last year but pulled out due to family committments. I now have my family issues sorted out and feel this is the right time for me to progress through to interview which I have been offered one for November! My only question I have remaining is in relation to the tax issues! I am willing to do 2-3 years if successful at interview but I will be leaving my 13-year-old child at home in the care of my parents who will have legal guardianship. I have read some information on here stating that although I will be out of the UK for over 2 years I may still be liable to pay a hefty tax bill as my child will be living in UK! How can this be? Can anyone advise me of actual correct information on this or should I go speak to someone in HMRC directly?
Many thanks,
Fiona
