Overseas cost difference

So have either of you figured out what the deal actually was? I'm from western Canada and it aint cheep! I don't mind making a bit less so long as it is offset by some other factor like tax breaks and lower cost of living. Also, do any Canadians living in KSA know the laws for expats from Canada? I'll be selling everything and leaving canada not owning any property or owing $$ to anyone or anything, does that make a diff? I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually, just wanted a heads up from a fellow "great white northian!"
