Found this old thread about gas grill...
People have suggested bringing a grill from the U.S. Is it significantly more expensive to buy one in Dhahran?
Are charcoals available in the stores?

Absolutely. You'll find that camping in the desert is a popular pasttime here and thete's no shortage of charcoal for grills.

Sorry to say this but gas grilling in NOT bar-b-que. We can have a cook off when I arrive. However I sure baby back ribs won't be on the menue

Ribs? Meh. Hashi (camel) and lamb are delicious. So many grilling options to choose from here, like kabab meats, kafta, chicken, fish, steaks and chops. Tip: try marinating hashi for a couple of days ahead with something acidic to break down the tougher fibers. 8)

So is it really a good idea to bring a grill from the U.S.? A big Weber grill that you put in the back porch (not the portable one for camping, etc.).
Is it difficult / expensive to buy one in DHA?
