Hi everyone,
I’ve recently been posted to the Ju’aymah NGLF Engineering Division and I’m trying to decide where to live—either Dhahran or Jubail. I’m looking for advice on which location would be more convenient and comfortable in terms of commute, housing, amenities, and general quality of life. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

"I have two school-aged children and I am employed on a direct hire basis with a family status arrangement. Given these factors, I am not seeking a camp-based living arrangement. Considering this, could you provide recommendations on which city would be more suitable for us to live in—Dhahran or Jubail?"

Rakha area in northern Dammam is best suited as you will have an Indian school nearby, Lulu in proximity. Please note that there are no commute bus to your plant from any area except two from RT. Hence, you will have to drive everyday. Other option is to live in Rahima and your kids commute in school bus. Your family will have ease of accessing RT facilities rather than living in Rakha with limited access to leasure facilities.

Seems there is an Indian school in Jubail - if you are going to live off camp then Jubail would minimise the commute all round. RAA is not usually offered, but if you have it already then lucky you.
From Dhahran to Ju'aymah you are looking at 60-90 minute commute each way depending on traffic. Jubail would be an easier commute all round.
Rahima is closer for you, but forces your kids to commute daily.
Jubail and Dhahran area offer better facilities all round for you and your family. Rahima is basically contractor town, full of people working in the surrounding oil industry. Mostly single male. No real facilities outside of cafe style restraints and supermarkets exist outside of Najma camp.

You might need to double check you have the option, all offers are worded to say housing may not be available, based on when camp was full but it does imply you have a choice, which you probably don’t.
ISG is a solid school brand, they are Dhahran and Jubail.

Thanks again for the information, Rental assistance was mentioned in my offer..So it sounds like Jubail would be better for comuting to juaymah's NGLF..
