Has anyone else experienced being ghosted by a recruiter? It seems to be bad with Aramco.

A company recruiter or agency?
Although I think this is the way of the world now, if you are not successful they just move on.

Well, a recruiter wrote me and asked about experience/expertise. I responded and nothing for weeks. Followed up, nothing.
Not a thank you, thank you w'ere not interested, we'll keep the resume on file. One could argue, what does it matter if she even says those things because it doesn't change the outcome. However, I think it just comes down to being courteous....class and manners go a long way.
Yes, it's in America and I find the situation super frustrating.

Thank you for your insight. I think it's important for recruiters just to at least send a courteous reply, busy or not. But, that might be ideal thinking.

That sounds awful to hear. Good thing I haven't tried it.

The reality is Houston has to wait on feedback from HQ in Dhahran and that can indeed take time for a variety of factors, especially if approvers are on leave, etc. I can't stress enough that a huge part of the interview process and background checks is patience. On the other hand, no news can be good news.
