I am trying to get back to the US , but have found it more difficult than anticipated. I have 15 years experience, mostly in the US and only one with Aramco. I have applied countless times to roles that I would normally get calls for without any issues. Is working for Aramco a hindrance and is the expat issue a problem for coming back? Curious what people's thoughts were? I feel stuck and it's starting to take its toll on me.

While discussing with my seniors back in UK, their view is, you loose your technical edge and competencies while working in Middle East national companies.. I do agree with their view in general.. I am sure this will have some impact when I'll start thinking of moving back..

I am not from US A but if you applying jobs but you are not in the country, then you are similar to overseas application. Use US address and phone number instead.

i had no problem getting hired in US after working for aramco for over five years. Agree, u need to use an US address and phone number on resume, if you’re not already . Being with a company for only one year then trying to find a another job, maybe red flag/hindrance for u, if i understand you’ve been here year and now trying to go back.

Did you get the job through a network connection or did you apply regularly? Worried that if I stay too long it will be looked at negatively by hiring managers.
