Hi
My fiancé has accepted a job in Dhahran and will relocate in the coming months. We plan to marry a few months after she moves but are told it's unlikely she will get time off to come back to Europe in the first 6 months. Since we are not married, as I understand the laws in KSA, I cannot even visit her. What exactly does that mean? I understood it to be Aramco would not sponsor my visa or accommodate any spouse/dependent etc...but I now wonder, does single status literally mean it's a requirement of the job to be single?
Appreciate if anyone has any insight on this.
Thanks

It means the housing is single (It’ll be fine) but you can only get a tourist visa and might struggle with camp access. Not insurmountable.
I’d recommend looking at Cyprus for weddings. Close and easy

Tourist visa is around 440 SAR, and literally takes 20mins if your from an approved country.
Likewise you can easily get onto camp as a personal visitor, 3 days at a time. Again, once this is set up it takes 2 minutes to process a repeat access.
The kingdom has come a long way in the last few years since they opened up to tourism - to the extent that as an unmarried, non-muslum couple can book a hotel room together or share an apartment.

Visitor will not be allowed overnight stay in the case as per accommodation guide

Hi all, thanks for the replies, it's very helpful! We are both from the UK, the tourist visa looks easy so I'll probably rent an airbnb close to the camp and meanwhile keep actively trying to find fulltime employment in KSA too.

You can enter and stay on residential camp with evisa. I have done this several times with my parents as this approved and allowed by housing. You simply don't get a temporary visitor badge which allows you to go to the gym, that's all.

As mentioned, easy to get a tourist visa and she can request your camp access with an app on her phone. It is best to enter the camp together, she shows security the gate pass and you show her your passport. You might find you'll have to do this a few times after you are married as it takes some time to get your access pass approved, because nothing goes smoothly or the first time.
