Hi, I plan to travel to Dhahran in approximately three weeks. Once I arrive, I will apply for my Iqama and later apply for my family's visa and their Iqama. Can anyone estimate the timeline for the following events in weeks or months based on recent experiences? I would appreciate it.
1. My medical booking for my Iqama. 2. My Iqama (time from application to receipt). 3. Yellow Slip (time from application to receipt) for family dependents. 4. Visa application in the home country. (2-3 weeks) 5. My family dependent's medical booking for Iqama. 6. My family dependent's Iqama (time from application to receipt).
I already have the original documents translated into Arabic and attested (my professional degree, marriage certificate, and child birth certificate). Also, is there any possibility of expediting any of the steps in the Kingdom?
Thanks

Joining as engineer, then you need to add 3 days to max 3 weeks extra as process can only move forward after SCE registration for engineers. If not, you will get iqama on around 1.5 weeks from completing medical. 3. Add 3 to 4 weeks. 4. Visa appointment can be taken in home country after 15 days from receipt of yellow slip. Consider 1 week to get passport back. 5. Medical within few days ones they land here. They will have to undergo medical in country of origin before their visa application as well. 6. Their iqama usually take 2 weeks but I had to wait for 6 weeks due to some card shortage last year.

We arrived within a month, you can help speed it up by getting your absher/bank account etc in a timely manner. Having your spouse do her medical asap along with the police checks.
My iqama came through within 48 hours of the medical so it can be fast.

Hi there,
Anyone gone through Family Iqama Process recently? Specifically from Australia?
I was wondering if I need to process the family visa in our home country or it can be done in the neighbouring countries like UAE?
From the forum it seems it needs to be done in the home country but was trying to figure out if something has changed recently which could assist relocating a family specially with young kids.
Thanks

Thanks In my case, my family had to travel to UK (home country) as at the time of application, saudi embassy said i can't apply in the county of my residence. That had significant impact on my planning. Luckily I was about to resolve and finalise all before my yellow slip application as we have to mention embassy details for visa application.

And expect you will have to go back to some offices 2 or 3 times before you complete a step. Almost nothing goes right or smoothly the first time. Don't even bother submitting forms for a signature on a Thursday or sending a follow up email to get the status of something hung up. Hopefully your RA submitted all the paperwork properly for your family. A few folks have had some issues with this.
