Hi everyone,
My wife and I are in the process of relocating to SA. My wife has a position with Aramco and I am moving over on her family status offer. I have interviewed with Aramco, but appears my application has been put on hold (after a successful interview) - "going through a plan for 2024, once confirmed, they will resume the process...". Obviously, it is still promising, however in reality the outcome may not be.
In the event I don't get a position with Aramco, how easy is it to gain employment in the Kingdom (or do independent consultancy work) on the back of my wife's Iqama? Or is there a process to follow to allow employment for myself (i.e. I need to apply for my own and hope for the best).
Thanks.

If you landed a job with Aramco, another company in KSA, or a contractor agency based in KSA, you would mostly likely come off your wife’s iqama , obtain your own work visa and would be sponsored by the KSA based employer. Once you accepted the job offer, the whole work visa and new sponsor iqama transfer takes 2 to 4 months. I believe some nationalities/country passports take longer than others. Spouse's do land jobs in KSA - not easy but possible. If Aramco or another KSA based company needs the skills, qualifications and experience you have and your resume is luckily gets floated to the dept/mgr in need, then you prob will land a job.br] My wife landed a job with Aramco through a local contractor after being here for a few months as dependent spouse on my iqama.
