Hi Everyone, I have just received my visa and should travel to the Kingdom some time in May, willing. Please I clarification around processing of my family visa. I understand that marriage certificate needs to be stamped from Saudi Embassy of issuing country. My questions are as follows: 1) is it my latest the degree(PhD) that needs to be notarised and stamped by the Saudi Embassy or my Bachelors? 2) Do I also need birth certificates of my children stamped by Saudi Embassy of issuing country? 3) What other documents do I need? Thanks Your RA will get all papers attested before you fly here. They will handle this. If you are going as an engineer, your bachelor degree will be more beneficial for sce registration. Marriage certificate and birth certificate needs attestation. I was able to get it down from different county of origin of these documents. Send copies to RA to sort things out.

I am also traveling in the last week of April from UK. My marriage certificate is not from UK. However my RA got it apostilled from UK (from UK solicitor)along with other documents (master’s degree and kid’s birth certificates). He told me there’ll be no issue in getting the yellow slip with the apostilled documents. There is no need to get embassy attestation after Saudi Arabia joined Hague apostile convention. Bachelor degree is required for SCE membership which is then used for Iqama. Master’s/Phd degree can be used to get yellow slip for dependents. My friend told me this who joined Aramco in December.

That's perfect. Masters for iqama and bachelor for SCE. You won't need attestation on bachelor degree. Ksa Joined hauge convention in early 2023 and hence apostilled docs works fine.

Thanks for the responses but I'm still a bit confused. I exchanged a series of emails with the agent authorised by aramco to process my visa. I was told that I don't need birth certificates to get yellow slip and that I don't need to notarised any doc issued from Australia. I'm very confused right now.

Hi aaa10Your RA may be right. My friend did not mention about getting birth certificates apostilled. I got it done through my RA along with other documents just in case. However as per employee quick start guide, degree and marriage certificate should be authenticated and attested. You ‘ll need birth certificate of your kids for the yellow slip. This is also mentioned in the quick start guide to bring it with you.

I do not believe women are treated any differently to men in this regard. If you have a US passport then you can but otherwise it’s tourist with all the complications that entails. This is government stuff, not company. As far as childcare goes, the company nursery is for children who have both parents working for the company, it is also only open when the schools are open (apparently). If you are not dual career then it is a nanny or private arrangement with another parent or outside nursery. Hi Tamsin, I was wondering if only US passport holders can take their family from the 1st day or same is applicable for Canadians as well? Thanks

I got to know about someone from Canada, who took his family from very first day. I need to check with him what were his grounds and how he did that. This may help many of us.
