Hi Everyone,
I wanted to check if Saudi Engineering Council Registration (SEC) is required for the Visa Stamping? My RA is asking to get yourself registered first before send the passport and other documents for visa stamping? Is this a new requirement now?

As far as I know, it's possible only after arrival. You will need local mobile number and a document from aramco which you will receive after joining. |

Can someone clarify is SCE registration is required for first time iqama issuance or is it a requirement for iqama renewal?
Also if it is required for family visa application

Depends on your Iqama profession. If you are joining as an Engineer of any sort then you must join before your Iqama is issued. For Iqama renewal it must be valid. Fees are refundable.
No Iqama, no family visa, no bank account, no driving licence, etc. Iqama is the key to everything in kingdom.

I wanted to know if Aramco takes your passport upon your arrival in KSA? Wouldn't that prevent you to travel in neighbouring countries during the we for instance?

They may ask for it on arrival to process Iqamas etc. Until you get your Iqama you can't get a visa so it's not as if you can leave the kingdom. |

Hence you will have to get Iqama first before leaving the country. |

Hi everyone,
Wanted to clarify regarding the attestation of the degree. My relocation advisor says I dont need to get my degree attested for Saudi Council Engineering registration. In my arrival packet it just has a copy of my degree and transcripts. She said that I got my visa without degree attestation from the Saudi embassy and the embassy trusts the background verification done regarding education for Aramco employees.
Has anyone gotten the SCE registration done without attested degree. My bachelors is from a US university. I asked my RA to start the process as it will be needed for the RVA anyways. Just hoping my iqama doesnt get delayed based on this information I have been given.

Please share your experiences if otherwise. Also from other members I wanted to know if someone was able to do SEC registration from Abroad without Border/Iqama number and was it successful ? |

You should be able to get your sce with bachelor degree without attestation. Since you are still in joining process, all your RA to get it attested to be on safe side. RA would probably use your masters for visa process as its just few hours job. |
