Hi there,
Anyone know of any support groups for mothers in Dhahran camp? Like a weekly or monthly get together with babies just to talk and support each other.
Thanks!

There’s a few things, I’d say at least 3 or 4 a week for women with babies/toddlers. La Leche League, Women’s Group, Mommy and Me, Garden Group story time.
Go to the welcome tea at the women’s group, last Thursday of the month, they’ll hook you up.

It’ll be in your welcome pack, I think the address is Baker House, it’s down near the dining hall/safety house. Last Thursday morning of the month, 8-10 or similar. Again, it’ll be in the pack with their phone number. I’m out of the country so can’t double check for you.

Hi everyone,
We will be arriving in Dhahran in June, my wife is working and I will be the stay at home dad with our two year old son. Will the baby and toddler groups accept daddies?
With regards to the women’s welcome tea mentioned above, if I can’t go to this, how would I find out about groups for our son?
Thanks.

There are a few men, not many but some. Everything will be closing down in June, few, if any groups are active during the school summer holidays.
Your best bet is the garden group, they do a coffee the first Tuesday of the month and a storyline every Tuesday plus other events and you’ll meet parents.
You can’t join the women’s group but your wife can, they send out a weekly email.
