I asked my husband, who was mwd/lwd with probably the same company as you, the biggest one. He says it’s having something they need, and at the moment you don’t have enough experience/years. He suggests looking within your current company for office/hq opportunities to increase that experience, plus all of our overseas moves including this region were with service companies, so you might get here that way.

I know that at the moment I am not a subject matter expert, but being (still) a young person, I am a quick learner and eager to see my goals accomplished.

I will keep trying internally as well…the issue with internal transfers it’s that you need the manager approval and always when I passed the interviews and came to the point to get his approval, he always blocked it as seems that I am impacting the bussiness locally. So all of this just creates frustration unfortunately..

As a remote engineer, I am working already in the office.

Brother keep trying and I would recommend to have atleast 12-15 years experience before even sending a resume to ADNOC or ARAMCO. Forget about ADNOC, they are not hiring expats, actually they are releasing them every 6 months. They are working towards 100% localization. I see Aramco still looks for talents from outside so better to build a good profile, get Certified Engineer Designation along with other certifications which could make you standout from other individuals. Also whereever you are, try to work for big names. Aramco takes people who have background with big names. Hope it helps

Hi,

First time posting. I wonder if you have had any luck with your applications?

I am in somewhat a similar situation, I have 12 years of experience, most of which with service companies but have been working for an operator for the past 2 years. I naively thought I wouldn't have much problem at least to get an interview but not so. My partner has accepted a job in Dhahran with Aramco and I am looking now to find something in order to move with her. I am a well intervention engineer from the UK. I have 12 applications in 'Your application is under review' - does anyone know if the recruiters normally change the status after they review or just wait until the position is filled and delete? It's a bit strange that they don't have an automated rejection email like most companies.

Any tips or advices are much appreciated!

If your application does not match requirements after some time a status will be changed in system. But it can take a lot of time
