I was told that Aramco closely monitors work and break times for expats. I have also heard that they place cameras to monitor productivity. Is this true and are they closely monitoring your work?

I heard one time that the moon was made of green cheese..... Of course they monitor your work. As an expat you will be judged by the quality and quany of your work - after all you do represent a significant investment and cost to them and as such they do want their pound of flesh so to speak. As to cameras - those are there for security purposes. Break times are generous enough, enough time to go home for lunch even if you work on Main camp. IT security especially is a huge focus for them. Don't believe everything you heat about Aramco, there are a lot of disgruntled ex-employees around who frequent certain websites. .

Never heard of cameras to monitor productivity, they did for a while use people’s Skype statues, not that it means anything meaningful. Productivity and aramco are not bywords, you’ll be expected to get on with things that may, or may not be productive.
