I have just received an email stating that my offer was withdrawn as I failed to meet one of the conditions.
I have recently been through 2 background checks for the middle east recently and passed successfully. I have an impeccable resume from multiple IOCs.
The letter is not stating further details.
Is that common? Do you know why do they change their mind?

The email said you didn’t make one of the conditions and didn’t say what the condition was?

Indeed.
So my guess is that they changed their mind or found someone cheaper, but I honestly don't see any condition that is not met.

Don't worry about it, happens all the time unfortunately. Could well be something totally unrelated to you, e.g. the role has just been pulled by management. Just move on.

I find it weird that they are just able to withdraw offers, whilst people conduct changes regarding their lives!

With Oil prices falling this does not surprise me they are pulling offers with petty rational.

Did you already quit your job before it got withdrawn? I find it weird that they are just able to withdraw offers, whilst people conduct changes regarding their lives! No I didn't. But still went through the process. I will always be impressed by his HR and recruitment are handled. |
